Medical tourism in Greece

In resent years there is a growing trend for people to travel abroad for medical treatment. This has the potential of having treatment at high quality and usually lower cost facilities combined with holidays.

Surgical treatment in orthopaedics consists of trauma and cold cases. In the first ocassion of trauma , the advantages of having high quality treatment as soon as possible are obvious and undeniable . Regarding cold orthopaedic cases that their treatment is not a matter of urgency, the choice of the facility for treatment is another case.

Every surgical treatment carries a small but existent possibility of complications (I would advice caution against anyone claiming otherwise) and if you can have this treatment at a reasonable time and cost near your home then obviously this should be the treatment of choice. Nevertheless if one or more of these prerequisites are not met (time, cost, having to travel anyway for treatment) or for any other reason you decided to have your treatment abroad , you should consider having your treatment in Greece with my team. Advantages include but not restricted to, are:

1.Treatment in a European country with state of the art medical facilities (I operate in Mediterraneo Hospital- , Bioclinic Hospital- , and Kyanous Stavros Hospital- )

2. The operations will be performed by a Specialist in Orthopaedics and Trauma with recognised qualifications in Greece and abroad (Athens Medical Association number 042975, International affiliate member of American Academy of Orthpaedic Surgeons)

3. The cost of treatment is very reasonable, please contact Αυτή η διεύθυνση ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου προστατεύεται από κακόβουλη χρήση. Χρειάζεται να ενεργοποιήσετε την Javascript για να τη δείτε. to get a quote, tel 00306976305971.

4. The cost of staying in Athens , a beautiful city with mild winters and countless sightseeings, is also reasonable with a vast variety of hotels and appartments to match any budget

5. You can combine treatment for you with holidays for you and your partner

6. For all operations the devices used have good track record in orthopaedic literature and arthroplasty registries

Cases most commonly treated include hip and knee arthroplasties, meniscal and cruciate ligament injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome , leg lengthening and deformity correction with ilizarov devices, hallux valgus (bunion) surgery and orthopaedic trauma cases .
